The Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS)
The Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) is the flagship summit of the Government of West Bengal. The summit envisions to bring together corporate leaders, business delegations, entrepreneurs, academia, and think-tanks from around the globe with the purpose of making strategic and business alliances as well as to learn about the industrial ecosystem and business friendly initiatives of the state.
BGBS has successfully completed 7 editions starting from 2015, drawing in a large number of national and international participation, business opportunities, exchange of commerce and culture during the past editions, making the Summit grow in scale as well as in strength with every edition.
Participation from the international forum also witnessed an increased engagement from 20 countries in BGBS 2015 to around 40 countries in the BGBS 2023, clearly highlights the success of Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) in international platform.
The last BGBS 2023 was attended by over 400 International delegates from Europe, UK, CIS, SAARC, Middle East, Africa, ASEAN, LAC, Central & East Asia and several other regions. 17 countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, France, Germany, Japan, Kenya, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Nepal, Netherlands, Poland, Rwanda, Slovak Republic, Republic of Korea and United Kingdom joined BGBS 2023 as Partner Countries*. 15 Ambassadors and High Commissioners joined the Summit
BGBS 2025
The Government of West Bengal will be organizing the 8th edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS) on February 5-6, 2025 in Kolkata. The event will be hosted at two of the Bengal’s state-of-the art convention centres, Biswa Bangla Convention Centre and Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan.
